"Different diagnosis"

About: Noosa Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I was admitted for a bulge in my left side lower groin and severe back pain after diagnosed by my GP as a ventral hernia.

After days of testing, CT scans etc. I found I was treated for diverticulitis then constipation. Days later and seemingly no conclusion at all by these doctors. So I asked to be discharged as I felt this whole visit was a waste of time and money.

I have since been back to my GP where I have been told I have a large hernia on my left lower abdomen supposedly not treatable. In my opinion- what a joke, who do you believe?

Going forward, I have made an appointment with a spine surgeon and now looking for a hernia specialist if there is such a person, maybe you could tell me?
