"Wonderful stomal therapy nurse"

About: Bunbury Hospital

(as a relative),

Just before Christmas last year my father was rapidly diagnosed with bowel cancer and before we knew it, had to learn how to manage an ileostomy as well as confront cancer treatment.

Ann, one of the stomal therapists, was such a wonderful support to my Mum and Dad during this very difficult time. She also provided support to me living some distance away by calling to discuss navigating the way ahead. Sadly we lost Dad some 4 months later but I will not forget her care and kindness. Truly the 2 greatest attributes for anyone working in health. Thank you Ann.

Dear composeren55,

I am so sorry to hear about your sad loss. Please accept our sincere condolences.

Ann, one of our Stomal Therapists, is a very kind, caring and compassionate nurse and I am pleased to hear that she was able to make a difference, at what must have been a very difficult time.

As health care professionals, we always want to do our best to support, not just our patients, but also the people who are close to them and it sounds like Ann, with her skill and expertise, was able to do this.

Thank you for taking the time to share the positive impact Ann has had on your experience and I will make sure she knows what a difference she made.

Kind Regards,

Ellen
