"Excellent patient care!"

Hello,

I would like to commend the ED staff who cared for me recently. I was admitted with a suspected snake bite or White Tip Spider bite to my ring finger (r/h). I found the admission person at reception was very helpful and called for a wheelchair for me when the staff heard it may be a serious bite (I had called Poisons Hotline and it seemed to me they strongly recommended I went straight to ED), and I was taken through to ED.

The staff who cared for me, including Nurse Helen and Dr Kamal (his first name), plus the nurses and auxiliary staff (lovely cup of tea!) were so compassionate and caring. I wasn't made to feel like I was wasting anyone's time, even though I apologised for being sent ahead of other patients in the waiting area.

The outcome (to my sheer embarrassment) was a bee sting! The staff didn't make me feel awkward, more-so they said that was the better outcome.
