My gp sent in two requests to the cancer centre at FSH for two different issues. I was seen by a registrar for the non urgent issue and they said they would look at the more urgent issue.
Having heard nothing since, I have been reading many articles on Pub Med and have reached a DIY cancer diagnosis, which tells me that the mass discovered on my CT scan is 75-88% malignant and according to a previous scan, has a clinically significant rate of growth.
As I wait to hear about an appointment to assess this tumour, I am wondering if the delay is due to the perceived belief that my tumour is non urgent, or that possibly the hospital is overwhelmed, and cancer patients are seemingly getting delayed treatment?
