My ex-partner was electrocuted mid-year and was at a different hospital for about a month and then transferred to Caulfield rehab facility as my ex-partner has a traumatic brain injury. I found the staff in ICU were great. Then I believe it all went downhill.
I recall my ex-partner was put on a ward unable to communicate or know how to use a call bell. I would find them laying in their own faeces most days which I understand caused severe burning of their skin. I believe they had several falls as I think they were not supervised. I recall they did not have a shower for a month.
Was able to walk normally prior to rehab. Now it seems to me they can't walk and has deteriorated rapidly since they have been in rehab. I believe they do not get any rehab sits, on their own all day and night with I think 1 staff member outside their room. I recall infected toenails, several cuts from long fingernails, I feel no personal care at all. Seemingly no interaction with other patients. No visitors for 4 months because of COVID. The washing is given to me soaked in urine and revolting. I believe my ex-partner gets left alone out in a courtyard with no sunscreen and gets burnt.
In my opinion, the facility needs to be reported as I have never seen such neglect in my life. I have documented every day of the past many months.
