"My experience after a stroke"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Neurosurgery Fremantle Hospital and Health Service / D4 Rehabilitation Centre (Fremantle Hospital and Health Service (FHHS)) Fremantle Hospital and Health Service / Rehabilitation in the Home Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Neurosurgical Unit

(as the patient),

I had a stroke caused by a tumour in the brain.

I felt there was a rapid treatment and recognition of my condition. I found there was also a thorough diagnosis process with a patient centric approach that kept me informed.

The operation was performed successfully. I believe the caring and committed attitude of all staff involved in my care was good.

Dear travellerbs63,

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge the care provided by the SCGH Neurosurgical Unit. As you would be aware, treating a stroke is time critical and it is gratifying to hear that you received rapid recognition and treatment of your stroke.

I am very pleased that the surgery was a success and hope that your recovery proceeds as planned.

May you enjoy the festive season with your loved ones.

Kind regards,

Theresa Marshall

Acting Executive Director
