"Inpatient after brain surgery"

I am usually well but found myself as an inpatient after recent brain surgery. The care I received whilst in the ward was second to none, all the staff who I dealt with radiated care, especially one in particular. I found Nurse Connie was lovely, caring, warm and engaging, so much so that when my adult kids visited, I recall they said ah where is Connie, on her day off?

I would like to thank you all surgical and nursing staff involved in my care and a special thank you to Connie for looking after me so well, I truly believe my recovery is going so well because I didn’t just feel like a number or just a patient, I felt you all cared and that has been amazing, I hope I do not have to go back, but if I do, I will not be frightened like I was the first time.
