"Didn't know I had appointments"

About: Kununurra Hospital / Allied Health

(as the patient),

I recall nobody called to say I had podiatrist appointments. I missed one recently. The driver came to my house but I wasn't ready because I didn't know. I had to ring the podiatrist myself to find out when my appointment was because it seemed to me nobody at reception called to tell me. I have a foot ulcer and I believe it can get worse if I miss appointments.

Dear Anoym34,

I am sorry to hear that you missed your Podiatrist appointment as you were not aware it was scheduled. I believe that it would have been with the Boab Health Podiatrist at Kununurra Hospital. Unfortunately, their offices are currently closed for the Christmas/New Year period, reopening Tuesday 4th January.

I would strongly encourage you to contact them to arrange a review appointment when they reopen in order for the Podiatrist to review your foot ulcer. Their contact number is 9166 8100.

If you have any issues contacting them please call me directly and I can assist. My name is Chris Hart, I am the WACHS Kimberley Allied Health Manager and my direct number is 0407 477 836.

Kind regards,

Chris Hart
