"Hospital admission during quarantine"

About: Busselton Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

We were in quarantine, after returning from the Northern Territory, when my husband needed medical attention. Aware that he had to be treated as a COVID patient, I rang the hospital for advice. After speaking to Pauline in ED, it was decided that I should drive him to the hospital. I was impressed by the protocols that were in place for his arrival- and the care that was taken to ensure that, had he been contagious, staff and patients were protected. He was ultimately transferred to another hospital. I feel confident that when the borders open, Busselton hospital has the necessary protocols in place to cope with whatever happens.

Dear Iawhmr2021,

Thank you for taking the time to share you experience on Care Opinion. We really do value feedback from consumers using our service, it's a great way to ensure we meeting our expectations for care delivery.

I'm very happy you were managed so safely during these interesting times in healthcare. We have invested heavily in training our team to recognise and manage patients with potentially transmissible disease, I'm grateful you've seen it in action.

If you have any other feedback please don't hesitate to give me a call on 9753 6372

Yours sincerely, Dan
