"Exceptional service"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Outpatients Clinic

(as a carer),

I just wanted to acknowledge the exceptional service we receive at the Bunbury Regional Hospital Infusion Lounge.

My son had SCIg (Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin Therapy) at home for well over a year until he could no longer bear it. I found the staff were incredibly attentive towards his extra needs regarding his autism, sensory processing disorder and iatrogenic anxiety.

Before I could even ask, I recall his Nurse (Princess) suggested a better chair position to reduce his anxiety from the amount of foot traffic passing him and it was also much quieter in the front room.

I think it's important to recognise exceptional service and I feel that is what we experience every visit.

I don't recall having used the term ‘exceptional service’ ever in my son’s lifetime.

Dear aquilakj34,

Thank you so much for your feedback. Princess is a star performer in our team, beaming with professionalism and knowledge and always willing to help. We work as a team, and nothing gives us more joy, than knowing that our patients and relatives are well looked after in every way. Working in health can be a difficult, thankless task, but we are always motivated by the needs of our patients and strive higher every day. Without patients, there would be no us!

Again, thanks for taking the time to give us feedback, we wish you all the best in the future.

Kind regards,

Christina Taucean
