My sibling presented to Bunbury hospital I believe 1 day after receiving the COVID shot. They presented with heart palpitations and pain down their left arm, they had random lumps on their body (possible panniculitis). I recall they were sweating, fever and chills and could barely walk. I believe they were left waiting, after triage saw them, for about 1.5 hours before my sibling discharged themselves from lack of care. As I understand it, they had a further 2 hour wait to see a doctor.
At the time of writing this, I now have my sibling home and in a worse state than when they left. We will be traveling to another hospital because of the serious lack of care I felt was at Bunbury hospital.
When I called the switchboard and spoke to the triage, I felt they were so rude, and verbally abusive, in my opinion. When I said can I find out your complaint process and the phone number to ring, I recall the staff member directed me to use Google!
What! Based on my experience, disrespectful staff, understaffed, lack of resources and it seemed to me failing to comply with state laws. I felt it was disgusting practice!
