We presented to Broome Emergency Department one recent afternoon with our baby who had a fever, runny nose and cough. Waiting for a COVID test result myself, we called emergency ahead to let them know we needed to come in as we're unable to get into the doctors locally. We were seen to straight away, with all staff in protective clothing, very professional and felt listened to. We stayed at the hospital for about five hours until her fever went down and she settled.
All the doctors and nurses who we dealt with were great, kept a check on us, and were thorough in monitoring her heart rate and high temps.
