"Midwives and medical staff"

About: Osborne Park Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I gave birth to my beautiful baby there a few months ago. Based on my experience, the ward is so lovely, and the midwives were amazing, caring and always there when I needed something. The medical staff junior and senior drs I felt were horrible though, very condescending in my opinion, I recall often I saw junior drs on the phone on social media, and I believe the obstetricians told me my baby was going to die if I didn’t do exactly what they said.

It seemed there was no offering me choices, I really wanted to try for vaginal birth but felt pushed to have a caesarean section even though no risks were told to me or my partner, it felt like all the drs just wanted to operate and use their tools. I get medical intervention is needed it just felt like drs wanted to intervene just for the sake of it. I know I'm not a doctor, but I still feel like I should have some rights and I'm not dumb. I did have a natural birth but I found it was an uphill battle. Apart from that it is a lovely welcoming place.
