"Treatment by staff"

About: St John of God Murdoch Hospital

(as the patient),

I feel traumatised, disgusted, gaslighted and dismissed. I felt completely ignored twice when I asked my surgeon if the complete numbness of my Achilles debridement in my foot would go away eventually. It seemed they just walked away, then came to see me in hospital after I admitted myself to hospital worried about wound infection. I recall their consult was less than 30 seconds. Physio had just arrived and they politely asked the Dr if they should leave to which the Dr responded no they’ll only be 10 seconds. Asked me how I was feeling to which I replied not good. Their response was well that’s not what the staff just told them. I had woken up feeling better then quickly went downhill again after trying to eat something. They then said I can go home and see my gp if I need to and abruptly walked out. End of their consult. Myself and the physio were utterly shocked at their appalling demeanour and I felt I was completely dismissed like I was an inconvenience to their day. Rang their rooms in tears and refused to see this staff member again. Told that I would get a call back and heard nothing.
