One morning, I was assaulted while walking my dogs. I went to Collie Hospital, it was shut. I did speak to someone through the buzzer, but I felt they were quite dismissive, so I left. I was distressed, I couldn't deal with what I felt was bureaucratic snottiness at that point. I tried again a couple of hours later. This time I made it into the ED. The clinician who saw me asked me several times what they were supposed to do. I didn't know either. I'm not a clinician. I left in tears. I had trouble getting out the door, I was crying.
So naturally the staff rang security. I managed to escape before the security staff could attack me. I felt very unimpressed. I was not badly injured, but I was bruised and sore. My injuries aren't documented and if the police had bothered to show up, I believe they would trivialise them so they get out of doing any paperwork. It seemed the hostility, incompetence and lack of compassion by the Collie Hospital made my very bad day, even worse.
