Child's broken arm

About: Bunbury Hospital / Outpatients Clinic

(as a parent/guardian),

My child recently broke their arm and had been reviewed in Bunbury Hospital outpatients department 3 times over 3 weeks. We have received great care, particularly from the physiotherapists who have done my child’s casting. They have taken the time to answer all of our questions and went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable when removing casts which can be scary for a young child! My only suggestion - please slow down the speed at which information on the TVs in the waiting area is changed! I am a fast reader and even I struggle to read the content in the time it is left on the screen for.

Thanks for the lovely feedback on your experience at Bunbury Hospital. We have a great team working in the outpatient department, including the Physiotherapists in the plaster clinic. It can be scary for a child to have a plaster removed but taking the time and answering any questions can certainly help make it a less frightening experience. I have passed on your feedback to the Physiotherapists who were very pleased to hear that they had made a difference to your child’s experience.

Thank you also for the suggestion on the information displayed on the televisions in the waiting area. Based on this feedback we have increased the amount of time that each screen is displayed for, so I hope this makes the information easier for everyone to read.

I hope that your child has fully recovered from their injury and thanks again for taking the time to give us this feedback.
