"Wonderful staff"

About: Margaret River Hospital

(as a relative),

My father-in-law was terminal with cancer and transferred to Margaret River Hospital which was closer to us being his only family. He only survived about 2 weeks in Margaret River Hospital but during those 2 weeks those nurses who cared for him were so lovely.

Big thank you to Britt! And on his last day/night to Bec and the other nurse on duty (whose name I've forgotten). You were both so lovely and caring towards him.

Most importantly thank you to Dr Gareth who did everything possible to ease my concerns or worries and who made his death as comfortable as possible. Thank you for getting him moved to the Palliative Care room for his last few nights. It just made things so much more pleasant for us.

Dear Wedocare,

Thank you for sharing your experience on Care Opinion and my deepest sympathies on the loss of your loved one.

I am so happy that we were able to care for your father in law and ensure that your concerns and worries were met.

This type of care aligns with one of our core values of Compassion, which is a caring response that fosters dignity for end of life care which is something we aim to achieve.

I will take great pleasure passing on your lovely comments to Britt, Bec and Gareth and indeed the entire team.

Please take care of yourself in this time of grief.

Kind regards

Marie Tweedie

Acting District Manager
