(as the patient),

After the birth of our first baby, we were upset that even due to my partner doing a negative rat test and not leaving my side during birth, that he was not able to spend the first night with me in the room. I also was not allowed to leave the room.

I am sorry that you are upset about your stay with us. Especially at this precious time of your baby’s birth.

We do have restrictions in place to ensure our mothers and babies and staff are protected from the current environment, COVID now being active within the community.

Dear venush49,

I hope that you and your partner are adjusting well to life with your new baby.

As I haven't heard from you I just wanted to reach out again to let you know that I genuinely welcome your call. I know that that first night with baby is so special and it is tough that Covid restrictions prevent that from occurring. However if there is anything you think that we can do to improve this for our families I would love to hear.
