"Excellent care in the A&E"

(as the patient),

I had to attend Armadale Health Service recently. I was reluctant to go as a visit a few years ago was not great, and left me feeling like an inconvenience.

Recently when I attended, all the staff I dealt with were wonderful; from the nurse at the front door, to the ED staff, to the staff manning the carpark.

I met Dr. Shaun, who was amazing. He explained everything he was doing and didn't dismiss what I told him (as someone with a chronic autoimmune illness, it can be very common for people to judge you before you have even explained what the issue is).

He was professional, fast, and approachable. He pre-empted my need for meds and a certificate. Awesome doc. I wish I could remember the name of the nurse who looked after me as she was equal with Shaun in her professionalism. I left knowing I had been looked after extremely well.

We are incredibly fortunate that our Emergency Department team are truly amazing, they are a team that go above and beyond for our patients. It is wonderful to hear about the patient-centred care and support you received, and I have already taken great delight in sharing your feedback with Dr Shaun and the entire team. I know the staff will be so pleased to read your story and hear that they were able to provide you with such great service during your presentation.

I am truly sorry to hear a previous experience was not to our standard of care and am very thankful that your faith in our services has been restored following this presentation.
