I was absolutely delighted by the warm and joyous care I was given by Enmarie, Sofia, and Jasmin - nurses from the Covid Testing Centre at Sydney Eye Hospital!

I had difficulty breathing and flu-like symptoms one night recently which woke me up multiple times. I was exhausted from the lack of sleep when I reached the Covid Testing Centre, anxious to know if I had Covid. Getting tested and worrying if I had Covid (and how it might impact my life) was not the most pleasant experience.

I was therefore delighted by the warm and joyous manner Enmarie attended to me. Her positive attitude and personal warmth really brightened my mood. I was astonished to hear she'd actually turned up to work even though it was her birthday!

I didn't have to wait more than about 5mins before it was my turn to get tested. Knowing how uncomfortable the test can be, especially when the swab goes so far up my nose, Sofia, the nurse who administered the test, was so warm and encouraging towards me.

The test was quickly over and it was the 1st time I didn't have tears in my eyes from the deep discomfort of the nasal swab. I was surprised to realise the method of testing seemed to have been dramatically improved, with the swab in a much thinner design, making testing less uncomfortable.

They say team culture begins with leadership, in that I was treated so well by Enmarie and Sofia must be a testament to the leadership of their manager, Jasmin, and how well she treats her team in my opinion.

I am most grateful for the amazing care I received from Enmarie, Sofia, and Jasmin - it started my day off in the best possible way!
