"PCR Screening at Geraldton Regional Hospital"

About: Geraldton Hospital

(as a service user),

I attended the PCR screening clinic with my three children recently. The nurses we dealt with were very professional and respectful.

In particular, Simone who was the nurse who attended to my children, I felt displayed all of the qualities of an amazing Nurse- she was gentle and kind, giving them choices in their healthcare whilst maintaining her professional conduct. She reassured me about my decisions and made the situation a positive experience. As a parent I felt informed, respected and supported. Thank you!

Dear foxtrothr98,

Thank you for sharing your story with us on Care Opinion.

I was delighted to read your kind words on how well your children were looked after. Hearing how Simone took the time and effort to make them feel reassured was very encouraging. It is so important for staff to build confidence and trust with children, to ensure they are relaxed and trusting through their healthcare journey. Another part of this is to have the parent involved and informed throughout, which Simone achieved expertly.

I will be happy to thank Simone and the rest of the team for their excellent work and thank you again for taking the time to share your story.

Kind regards

Derek Fraser
