Well I’m writing here because I feel that the service I had, must have improvements. I arrived in emergency (night time) feeling dizzy, I had thrown up twice at home and once as soon as I got there. I was asked some questions (the typical) and then I went inside to the next waiting area. I went with the nurse and here is where I started feeling like the system in place is not efficient.
Again, same questions that I answered in reception, at that point I felt very weak, I had pain everywhere and the only thing I wanted, was to be examined. After responding as I could, it seemed the nurse dismissed how I felt saying that’s not bad at all, there are worst patients. Well, they took some blood tests (which was amazing) and then I recall they said that they would be back with medicine and water. I waited about 20 min, and I had to tell them that I needed it. The thing is I believe I saw them going around a lot, chatting with other people in there, which is okay to have a little chat here and there, but it was just too long in my opinion.
Looking around in the waiting emergency room, I believe it looked really awful, so untidy, like I recall there were so many machines, which I felt looked really depressed. And also in the enquires office, I recall it had books and folders about to fall.
In the waiting room, what I really didn’t like was to see what appeared to be so many nurses in the office, and nobody asking to the patients if they need something, like I was cold, thirsty, and just needed emotional support (since my partner couldn't come in with me).
After that I don’t feel like anything needs more improvement. The doctor was pretty professional, and took his time to talk to me and explain everything.
