"Great Healthcare Experience"

I attended Merredin Health Service a few weeks ago and I would like to commend the ED team for the care provided to me. It was late in the afternoon and had sustained a crushing injury to my thumb and was in a lot of pain. The ED nurses attended to me initially doing excellent COVID Screening and a RAT test. I was then reviewed by Dr Ifeanyi-Chukwu who decided that I needed an X-ray to rule out a fracture which was speedily done. Following this I was given a nerve block to my thumb to alleviate the pain. Dr Ifeanyi-Chukwu was very professional and ensured my pain was managed appropriately before surgically removing my thumbnail. The nursing staff also showed compassion and provided education to junior staff and the student nurse throughout my stay. A great experience overall.
