"Thankful for the paediatric allergy specialist"

This is a story about our child, who had severe allergic reaction when they were 6 months old from a formula which contained cows milk. They had the reaction very late closer to 8-9 pm at night time. We were very shocked and we took them to Sale hospital and been treated by Sale paediatric group initially with almost care and dedication. Then they referred to the allergy clinic and was specifically guided by the paediatric allergy specialist from 6 months to 1 year. I believe that without the allergy clinic specialist we would be left in a limbo.

We are very thankful and without their expertise, I believe our child would be still suffering from the allergic reaction. Our child is allergy-free and they have been constantly monitored by the allergy specialist every month until they came out of it totally. We were very happy that we had the paediatric allergy clinic specialist available closer to our home and was in no need of travel to and from Sale to Melbourne for 3 hrs for frequent appointments.

In my opinion there are growing families in Sale and I feel they are in need of these types of specialty clinic especially paediatric allergy clinic to overcome the difficulties the young parents like us go through at the initial stage of parenting.
