"My sibling's hospital stay for pneumonia"

About: Sale Hospital / Medical Service/Ward

(as a relative),

1. I recall no documenting that their legs needed dressings due to cellulites.

2. I recall no one asked if they managed showering or assisted them due to idio pulmonary fibrosis of lungs, only had about 19%

3. I recall a lack of communication between shift changes, I feel as no one addressed my sibling's legs, never put compression stockings on or made sure their leg were elevated at anytime.

4. I recall medical records not up to date (whom my sibling's doctor was)

5. My sibling's care in ccu was good but once in medical ward, I found the care was poor. Not sure why it seemed there wasn’t any notes on my sibling's cellulites needing attention, I believe their legs are in worse condition then when they went in.

I note that you indicated to Dr Jadhav that you were pleased he had contacted you, and that as a result, you were able to discuss your concerns and get a better understanding of the care that was given.

If there are any further supports we can offer, or if you have any additional questions regarding this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact Dr Jadhav (vittal.jadhav@cghs.com.au) or Ms. Lisa Watson, Nurse Unit Manager, Medical Ward (lisa.watson@cghs.com.au) or via the hospital switchboard on (03) 5143 8600.
