First of all I am in my 70s and suffer from carpal tunnel and vertigo. My spouse had a bad fall late on the weekend recently. Ambulance came took my spouse to Busselton hospital [ambo's are the best in my opinion] I rang the next morning to check if my spouse was doing ok, they took my phone numbers down and said they would get back to me. That never happened, when I realised the time [4pm] I went to hosp 30 min drive. While there my spouse was in pain due to fall, also needed to empty bowels as also giving pain. When told nurse, they said have to use lifting gear and cannot turn on side as in bad pain from fall. I felt that was not said politely.
Next morning I went to hospital, a staff member let me in to ward as doors still locked, person at nurses station did not say anything. As I walked into room, one of the nurses asked in what I felt was a rude tone, what am I doing here. I said to see my spouse and again in what sounded to me like a very rude tone, visiting hours are 10am to 4pm. I did not know and it was only 9.53am and I was in pain thru my condition and tired as do not get much sleep. I told nurse in no uncertain words I would be coming back to this hospital again. At the time of writing this, am now trying to have my spouse transferred to another hospital.
