My friend who is elderly was taken into ED with severe asthma and a very bad cold. I rang the hospital to see if they were staying. In my third phone call at night, I recall I was told by the nurse that they would ring me, so I kept my phone next to my bed and there was no phone call, I didn't receive one.
So the following morning I rang the hospital and was told that my friend was sent home about a couple hours before midnight. Why, I asked, surely they should have been kept in. I recall this happened to them a few months ago when they broke multiple ribs and it seemed to me you sent them home far far too early.
I know you are under the pump, more so nowadays than before but, in my opinion, we need to look after our elderly a bit better and sending my friend home in the middle of the night and it is freezing doesn't seem right to me.
