"My husband's palliative care"

About: Wheatbelt Regional Palliative Care

(as a carer),

My husband passed away a few months after being diagnosed with cancer. Garth & the team at Northam Palliative Care were awesome from the start until even days after he passed away. Without them in my home or on the phone it would have been a lot harder to cope with but they certainly had my back.

Dear beidby65

Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your husband and thank you for taking the time to share your experience regarding his end-of-life care and how you were supported after his passing.

It is pleasing to know that your husband received such compassionate and high-quality care from the regional Palliative Care team, and that you were able to spend quality time together. The on-call and follow up system enables patients and their families to access care and support from clinicians like Garth that they would not otherwise access. The Palliative Care team is a highly skilled team, and they place paramount importance on ensuring patients receive the best quality end of life care and provide support/guidance to the family during the entire journey.

I will take great pleasure in passing on your appreciation to the Palliative Care team and to Garth specifically, I know that they will appreciate receiving your kind words.

Again, thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback and our thoughts are with you and your family during this time.

Warm regards,

Basil Paulose

A/Regional Nursing and Midwifery Director
