"Experience in ED"

I was admitted at RAH recently, I needed help informing my landlord that I couldn't pay rent as I was in the hospital and didn't have my phone. So I requested for a social worker, after over 2 hours a social worker came and said it was not their scope of practice. I was very disappointed that a social worker could not assist me with what I believe is a social issue, the ED Nurse then kindly helped me to make the call, inspite of being busy. I feel the sad thing is the Nurse acknowledged that this was usually the case.
