There has long been a lack of seating/gathering space for visitors to sit together and discuss the patient or just relax especially as most wards are not single/private. It seems office spaces have taken the spaces we have had. I believe Covid has meant that the need has been shelved. I know the future plans but for now- could we have a couple of park bench seats eg in 'fountain' area on ED car park area. Based on my experience, many people comment on the lack of visitor spaces.

Hello airny33

Thank you for your feedback and comment with regard to additional seating in our outside spaces. We understand that this is certainly an issue for us and difficult in our very constrained Health service footprint.

Very soon we will be commencing early works which will include outdoor seating as part of our temporary Cafe area.

Seating will be made accessible to the public, this is planned outside near the fountain area.

In the meantime before these works commence, I have arranged for some temporary seating to be placed in this area.
