About: Lives Lived Well – Nowra (Nana Muru)

(as the patient),

Drinking habit slowly evolved until it became a problem, like a slow burn. Stressors of life caused increased use, the addiction snuck up on me. I have become much more aware of what is happening with me but also what is happening around me and the effects it has had on me and my family. The group helps me to reflect on things and meeting people from different walks of life has been helpful.

Dear dont be judgmental,

Thank you for posting your story and letting us know how much the Groups at Nana Muru have assisted you in recognising detrimental behaviours. It is encouraging to note that you are now seeing how much your family is also affected and you have chosen to do something about it.

Congratulate yourself for taking the first step, seeking help and recognising how things really are in your life. Keep it up - it is often a long journey. Always remember there is help if you require additional support into the future.

Regards,

Lara
