History...I was transported to Sale hospital via ambulance (after 000 call by my wife) after feeling extremely ill at home. Was a short term onset. The paramedics tested me for covid at home with positive result. I am in my 70's and had had 4 covid vaccinations Admitted straight through emergency into an isolation room and attended to by nurses and doctor and had relevant tests. Transferred to medical ward into isolation room into ventilation tent and on oxygen. In Sale Hospital around 3 days.
I cannot speak highly enough of the special care and treatment afforded to me by nurses, doctors, pharmacy, orderlies and catering staff. Their dedication, understanding, patience and kindness was amazing. So well trained and skilled. I felt so secure in their care. My treatment was fully explained to me in an understanding and understandable manner.
Of course I must give a big shout out also to the paramedics who took me to hospital. Kind, caring and understanding.
So anyone reading this from outside of the hospital environment, based on my experience please give lots of thought, understanding and thanks to the dedicated paramedics and hospital staff that I feel we are so fortunate to have in our district.
