"Free health care"

I just wanted to say what a fabulous health system we have in this country. My mother was in ICU in a coma (at Monash) for 2 weeks and in hospital for 4 weeks altogether. After her discharge, we were made aware that due to her acute health issues she was entitled to 4 weeks post acute care.

We are so appreciative that we live in a country that provides free health care for all its residents. It seems to me that staff are overworked, and no doubt underpaid, but you would never know by their demeanor. My mother was treated with dignity by the friendly staff at both Wonthaggi and Monash Hospitals and the person who did the Post Acute Care. A big thank you from our family for taking such fabulous care of our beautiful mother.
