"Sad to leave the neurology ward"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Neurology Department, Neurophysiology Outpatients & Ward 6B

(as the patient),

After a recent trip to Perth for an inpatient stay on the neurological ward at FSH I could not speak higher of all the staff involved in my care on ward 6.

They are amazing they are all very professional, made me feel at ease under some very stressful circumstances. The nursing staff were so good coming in at the start and end of each shift to say hello or goodbye introducing themselves. The shift coordinators do the same even though it seemed they were all extremely busy but still happy to take the time to talk to you and not at you. All the support staff were great and very polite being happy to help with whatever you were needing.

The food was fantastic with a massive selection to choose from and it was all fresh from the sandwiches to the vegies and fruit salads. They were very thorough with all the testing that was done and happy to explain everything in a way that we were able to understand without making us feel uncomfortable or in a rush to get out of there.

The dedicated OT, Physio and speech staff are so amazing and caring even tailoring a program that my daughter can help with the exercises.  In so many ways after a weeks stay I was quite sad to leave.

Thanks again everyone for the lovely stay.

Dear baby2021,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide your compliments to our hospital. It is always a lovely morale boost for our staff to receive feedback such as yours, which I have shared with Ward 6B. Being in hospital is never easy, especially when it is far from home (you sound like you may be a country patient), and I am glad to hear that the manner and communication of our staff, as well as the meals, made your stay a little more enjoyable. I hope your exercises at home are going well.

Kind regards,

Kellie Blyth
