"Busiest night"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department St John Ambulance WA

(as the patient),

I arrived by Priority 1 ambulance on what later the media referred to as the busiest night of FSH's history, with patients waiting in the waiting room for apparently over 10 hours.

St Johns Ambulance team from Kelmscott were amazing and reassuring and helped me from my home to the FSH very quickly.

I arrived with the symptoms of a heart attack, and was seen immediately. I did not experience any waiting, and had seen 3 doctors within moments. I had a very reassuring experience, and help was provided immediately.

I have nothing but praise for the exceptional team on in ED overnight on the my experience. The cleaners were delightful and so quick, the orderlies were so kind, thoughtful and even went out of their way to find me a pillow later in the evening. Nursing staff were amazing, ensuring I was reassured and cared for while providing excellent care and the Medical team were extremely professional, caring and thorough, even taking the time to come back to explain my results and provide choices to me when they were run flat off their feet.

I cannot thank them enough for providing an exceptional level of care.
