"My anaesthetic team"

About: Royal Perth Hospital / Operating Theatre & Recovery Royal Perth Hospital / Pre Anaesthetic Assessment Clinic

(as the patient),

I recently had surgery at Royal Perth Hospital. I was very nervous as I have previously woken up terribly from an anaesthetic. I was more worried about the anaesthetic than the actual surgery itself.

Dr. Kennia came in and spoke to me and I immediately felt better. She reassured me and explained things in a way I understood. The nurses seemed to like her too, I took this as a good sign.

My recovery went well thanks to all the doctors and nurses.

I wish I met someone like Dr. Kennia sooner in this process, I feel she is a credit to your hospital.

Dear eaglegd48,

It was lovely to read of your recent experience while attending Royal Perth Hospital for surgery.

Feeling nervous or worried about surgery is a completely normal emotion, and I was pleased the Anaesthetist involved in your care put your mind at ease. I will be delighted to share your kind words with the team of doctors and nurses who left such a positive impression with you, particularly Dr Kennia.

This is exactly the level of patient-centred care we aspire to consistently deliver at the Royal Perth Bentley Group.

I am pleased that you are now fully recovered.

Kind regards,

Dr Lesley Bennett

Executive Director
