About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

I can’t remember the drs and nurses name but they were amazing when my son knocked himself out and needed to get his head glued and he was diagnosed with concussion. They were fun to deal with for him and spent the next 4 hours checking on him every 20 mins or so doing checks. They provided us sandwiches and after care info. They explained very clearly what to watch for and generally put us at ease. Thankyou for making our bad night better :)

Thank you for sharing you story with us. I hope your son has now recovered.

I was so pleased to read how our staff so successfully engaged with your child. Fun plays a big part in allowing children to feel relaxed, when they are anxious and in unfamiliar surroundings. Equally important is to keep the parent informed and aware of what to look out for after you’ve gone home.
