My rehab journey started with me coming in thinking that I didn’t need to be here and was going to give it 2 weeks max. Then I found myself in my first one on one with my TF and found out that it was so much more than learning to deal with your addiction and stayed the full 12 weeks.
In the weeks that followed my first week I have learned so much about myself including becoming best friends with myself through affirmations, mindfulness and most of all self love. I have also learned all about my amygdala and now know the tools to deal with my emotions and sort out what’s a real emotion and what’s not.
Based on this experience, I believe that without Wunya and the support workers, Tfs and my amazing TF, I would not have the knowledge and abilities to move confidently forward to not only maintain my sobriety but also my mental and physical health.
