"Breastfeeding and lactation consultant"

About: Telehealth Service - WACHS South West

(as a service user),

If I didn’t receive the help from the lactation consultant Di, I would not have been able to breastfeed my baby!

I sought help when I was in need for it and Di contacted me on the same day offering her help and guiding me through a plan to help my milk supply and to help my baby to grow and get enough milk from me. I had absolutely no knowledge about breastfeeding and she showered me with her amazing scientific advice and information and at the time of writing this, she had been supporting me through three months so far with my ups and downs with breastfeeding.

She is kind, polite, so passionate about helping others achieving their goal and supporting them along the way with her uplifting words, she takes very good notes of what I say and she listens very carefully to every word and she replies to me with logic information based on facts and science. She explains every new advice she gives.

She was the absolute 100% reason I am still breastfeeding until now. I failed with my first boy thinking and believing that I could not breastfeed and if only I could go back in time and seek her help back then I would have breastfed my son as well.

I am having such a wonderful experience with Di. I feel safe and supported every time I seek her help. She always gives me the hope of rescuing my milk supply every time I have low supply or every time it decreases. She is so determined to help me stay determined since that is my wish. I came along from having to top up all the time to just breastfeeding without any top up plus stacking milk in the freezer where I could use them all when I had trouble again and now she is still helping me to rebuild my supply.

It is a blessing that I am breastfeeding and I feel it's a blessing to have humans like her on earth that are willing to share their knowledge to make some people’s life better. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to talk to her and get the help from her. I will always always remember Di since my whole successful breastfeeding journey is relying on her help completely.

She didn’t only help me to breastfeed because this has a very huge impact on my mental health as well. My unsuccessful breastfeeding journey with my first boy has left a scar in my heart and it is now healing because of her help with my second baby.

Words can only say too much about this amazing lady.

Thanks to her from the bottom of my heart.

My husband and I are in debt for her and we both are so happy that we have come this far with this lovely journey.

Best Regards

Dear elephanthw39,

Thankyou for taking the time to share such beautiful feedback with us. I am so pleased that the telehealth lactation consultant service was able to assist you with navigating the challenges associated with breastfeeding. And to hear that your experience with Di has helped to heal the wounds created by not breastfeeding your first son, is truly heart warming.

We are so fortunate to have Di on our team. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about supporting women with their feeding journeys, and her goal is to achieve the best outcomes that work for mum and bubs. I have passed on your kind words and I know she will be humbled and grateful for your praise.

Thankyou again and I wish you and your family well for the future ahead.

Yours Sincerely, Katrina
