I tested positive to Covid recently. I received an SMS from NSW Health which provided me with advice and how to access anti-virals and offered to make contact with my GP. I wasn’t sure of the doctors name but I gave them the practice.
I was then monitored by the Prince of Wales Covid clinic.
When they offered me the service I thought “how good is this?!” This is excellent, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Covid or how sick I’d get. One of the doctors told me because of my bronchiectasis they were worried that they could lose me, luckily I didn’t get too sick.
It was so nice to have someone ringing every morning. They asked me what time suited best and were pretty much on time for every call. The Oximeter was delivered on the first day and I was able to give the readings and knew I’d have someone to ask questions if I had any. They offered me someone to talk to if I was concerned and even offered to help with picking up prescriptions and groceries. I didn’t need that but it was great to know the offer was there.
