"Bruising from blood test"

About: PathWest Geraldton Hospital Collection Centre

(as the patient),

Had pathology bloods taken Geraldton hospital 5 vials bloods by staff member. When they pulled the needle out it hurt more than usual and subsequently bruising my arm for about a week after.

I believe this bruising shouldn't happen because I've had bloods done before when no bruising. In my opinion, more gentleness and care is required when removing the needle.

I wanted to say I appreciate the medical staff at Geraldton hospital and respect their roles in caring for patients. I hope my experience helps improving the quality of care.
