Adverse reactions:
Nsaids.
Lactose.
Tramadol.
Metronidazole.
Four days of giving me 5 different meds I can’t take due to lactose intolerance.
As I understand it, they had run out of tests at Narrogin Hospital.
Requested to be transferred to a hospital in Perth and was told if meds aren't working and I’m in significant pain that's where I should be right now, except I’m at home. I had been in Narrogin Hospital for about 10 days. Was told by a nurse to check me out, and get a bus to Perth (3 hr trip). Can't walk unaided atm and can barely sit!
Outcome:
Was discharged and received no discharge letter.
Given scripts.
Told to see my gp (did see notes).
And to wait for calls from specialists.
Hospital called a few days later, I called back and told that the clinician was unavailable, called the following day and was told they don’t work, called the day after and was told they would call me back called again and they would call me back. Still waiting to talk to the person about my gynaecologist appointment.
Made a doctor's appointment for about a week later.
An attended appointment was told the doctor doesn’t know what the hospital expects them to do about me I need to go to a women’s hospital.
Currently stuck at home unable to go to hospital in Perth because I can’t arrange home care for my child and dogs as I am alone.
Brought this up so many times in the hospital and had two social workers.
Currently at home in huge pain can’t drive to emergency, no pain relief and no help with care for my child or help to get back into the hospital.
Backstory:
I have reached the end of the medical system due to them saying I haven't anything more they can do for me.
A Queensland hospital did my hysterectomy 3 years ago.
I returned twice to see the follow-up specialist because I was having bladder incontinence after my surgery.
On the day of my surgery they didn't put my catheter in properly and my bladder overfilled so bad I had 1tr of water in there and was in agony. I'm sure it damaged my bladder.
Was told I’m incontinent because my bladder keeps tensing up.
Recently, my child and friend called me in an ambulance and I was taken to a local hospital.
Transferred to Narrogin.
Was given an ultrasound.
And run out of pain medication options fast due to my medical history.
Told I was being sent home the following day. Didn't end up leaving till 10 days later.
My relative called and made a complaint to the district director twice.
I feel the outcome needed is surgery because I believe I will lose my bladder and bowel and they will need resection if they wait too long.
