About: Geraldton Hospital / Midwest Cancer Centre Telehealth Service - WACHS Midwest

(as the patient),

I'd like to thank both my Geraldton Nephrology clinic and Geraldton cancer centre staff in helping me to set up  Video call so that I can join the meeting from my home. Whilst I understand that some appointments may need to be done face to face, the option of video call is fantastic as I live in Carnarvon and often travel for family reasons. Queries I had were addressed by the telehealth staff and their team who said are based in Geraldton Hospital and are brilliant and tech savvy at what they do. They have set up appointments with other hospitals in the past.  Please pass the message on to the telehealth people as without them my device would be non functional.

I was so pleased to read how well the telehealth appointments have assisted you. The option of video call appointments has improved greatly in recent years, particularly as COVID spread through our community. Telehealth helps to ensure that patients who live in remote or regional areas, who might have limited services locally, are not disadvantaged by where they live, allowing them to stay at home as well as avoid expensive travel costs.

It is very encouraging to receive feedback that the appointments arranged for you have been of such benefit to you.
