"Bleeding from stoma"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was in Margret River with my husband for a 4 day break only a couple of weeks ago. I started to bleed very heavily from my stoma into the bag. I had very large blood clots in the bag. I came in and was seen to immediately after the nurses removed my stoma bag the doctor was there to attend to my problem. With in 15 minutes the doctor decided it needed to be cordcauterised as the stoma had two small leaks. He proceeded to do this speaking with me every step of the way. Five minutes later all done bleeding stopped and not a problem since. Also thankyou to the nurses that was on that afternoon, I think you are all a credit to your job. The service was so outstanding if I had to give you a score it would be 11/10.

Thankyou again everyone.
