"Unsatisfactory care for my children"

About: Cowes Phillip Island Health Hub

(as the patient),

Visited the cowes health hub and I felt the service provided unsatisfactory care for myself and sick children, I found we were treated with demeaning comments, sent us home with no appropriate follow up or medicines.  Children have since become sicker and this is still ongoing at the time of writing this story.

We are still being treated by our local gp because I understand we were not given the adequate medicine to fight the infection we have. My Children are still suffering and I am so disappointed with the level of care, we will not be returning to this facility and would hope in the future for the next mother or family in my situation be treated with more help and support. 

I feel concerned about this service provider managing such a large area of local community and other children, because of the way we were treated I believe this could become a very serious concern for people's health. Based on my experience I feel perhaps a more qualified doctor working in the facility would benefit the community better. 

Very sad, in my opinion, especially with children involved
