(as a relative),

My husband was admitted suddenly recently with pneumonia, he has lots of ongoing medical problems and was very unwell.  He was transferred from Emergency to the MAU ward, in both he was well looked after .  One of the nurses  in particular stood out, Cherie, she  learnt that it was our 60th wedding anniversary in a couple of days and realised my husband was panicking because his card to me was still in the drawer at home !  She went to the hospital shop and bought an anniversary card for him to give to me, as well as a word book for him. I felt this was far beyond what her duty was, but she did it and was happy to do it, I will always thank her for the kind gesture. It helped my husband’s  peace of mind more than she’ll ever know. Thank you Armadale for your care and thoughtfulness and thank you nurse Cherie 😊x

Thank you for taking the time to provide your lovely feedback to our Emergency Department and Medical Assessment Unit staff, especially Cherie.

May I please commence by congratulating you and your husband on your Diamond anniversary, a truly remarkable achievement.

Our values of Kindness and Respect are so very important to us. As such it was lovely to read that Cherie truly lived these values in her actions, I am very proud of Cherie and that her actions had such a positive impact on your husband's peace of mind.

Ones does hope your husband is recovering well, that you have many more years together, and that you have a diamond year for this one now that you are once again re-united.
