At the beginning of the year, I was diagnosed with secondary melanoma in the left lung. The initial thought was that I would have to relocate to Perth for one year of treatment, which was a little over whelming to say the least.
I was relieved to be able to have my immunotherapy conducted at my local hospital Karratha Health Campus. What an absolute stress-free journey it has been.
The whole team involved in my care have been remarkable, providing supportive, friendly and professional care. This team includes the panel who initially reviewed and accepted me as a patient, Sue and Phyllis in their managerial and support roles, Dr Brandon at Fiona Stanley Hospital, what a great doctor to have monthly teleconference catch ups with, Path West staff for monthly blood tests. Bridie, Tracy and Hannah, the telechemo nurses, their complete all round care, compassion and understanding, their dedication and professionalism is second to none.
I feel my care could not have been any better.
To you all, the entire Telechemo TEAM, I say a sincere thank you.
Thank you for making this difficult part of my life's journey relatively stress free.
Thank you again.
