I was recently admitted to Geraldton Hospital, through ED after a fall.I found the Doctors got me through quickly and competently, assessing me and the doctor in charge reviewed my care. My stay in the short stay unit for 2 nights was amazing.I felt I had the best care, my nurses were attentive and caring. They helped me stay on top of my pain and were compassionate to my situation.
The Nurse Practitioner Anthony in ED was on top of my care and helped to organise my pain medication and movement to the ward.I found my transfer to the inpatient ward was equally amazing.
Dr Lorcan and his orthopaedic team did a fantastic job and explained the procedure repeatedly so I understood everything that would happen. The anaesthetist, Lawrence, also explained everything very thoroughly to me and ensured my pain levels were kept minimal. Exceptional care.
The nursing staff I saw were top class, especially the inpatient manager Steve who ensured my comfort and kept me up to date with my care and procedure. I also want to mention the Allied Health teams and TCP who have been pivotal in getting me moving and home again.I can't thank everyone enough for making a terrible situation bearable and getting me through the worst pain of my life.
