(as a parent/guardian),

Recently I put my son to bed, he was completely normal and healthy. He woke just before midnight not breathing properly. We rushed him to ED where we experienced the best care I have ever had.

We were rushed straight through and had a diagnosis and medication within 20 minutes. Then they kept us for monitoring. The Paediatric Doctor and all 3 nurses we saw (2 at triage and one whilst monitoring) were all incredible.

I felt so at ease during a very scary time and really felt like we were in the right place and being looked after. Thank you so much KRH we couldn't be happier with the care received.

Dear centaurusjj65,

Thank you for taking the time to post your story. As a parent too, I can only imagine how terrifying this must have been for you.

I agree our team in ED at Kalgoorlie Health Campus are amazing; and acute situations like this really show their true strengths and skills.

I am also happy they could not only provide the immediate clinical care your son needed, but also support you as his parent though this situation too.

Your feedback has been passed onto the team and I want to know it makes a real difference to them. Seeing a positive story shared with the community gives them a real boost and helps through the hard times they inevitably face in their roles too.

As a parent in the Kalgoorlie community I am also grateful to know we have an emergency service with this amazing team available 24 hours a day should anyone in our families need them.
