"Phone communication with family"

About: Prince of Wales Hospital / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

(as a relative),

Last year my sibling (sibling A) got COVID and got so sick they were in hospital with COVID, pneumonia and they nearly died. A nurse who works for the hospital, is friends with my other sibling (sibling B) however I understand this nurse did not work in the same ward sibling A was in.

Sibling A was in ICU and so obviously we kept on ringing to see how they were going as they were on life support and we were upset. I understand the nurse was going back and informing sibling B that we were constantly ringing. Sibling B told me to stop ringing and I did.

I did not speak to this nurse once, and I believe they were going back and telling sibling B that we were constantly ringing. Sibling B was next of kin, but when I spoke to the doctor they said that two people could ring. The nurse contacting sibling B and saying that I was ringing, even after I had stopped, caused a lot of conflict especially when I believe they were not the one looking after sibling A.
